Douglas Duff - Offices Letting - Milton Keynes, Woodlands Business Park
Date: 25 Jun 2008
A new tenant is moving into well-located office buildings at Woodlands Business Park, just one mile North of Central Milton Keynes: Naston Ltd, a leading engineering and contracting company in the field of water and waste water treatment systems, is moving into the ground floor of Birch House in a letting completed through agents Douglas Duff. Not only is the company expanding from its headquarters at the historic Brooklands site near Weybridge in Surrey, Naston is also planning to take on more staff from the local area to meet demand for its services.
"The quality of the buildings at Woodlands and the attractive working environment - especially at Birch House - impressed Naston" commented Jonathan Whittle of Douglas Duff. "The proximity of Central Milton Keynes and the easy access to transport routes was an added bonus!"
As specialised engineers and designers of industrial water treatment plants, internationally-renowned Naston takes responsibility for process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil engineering for industrial water and waste water treatment projects. Having recently been awarded a large contract at Ledbury, in addition to major projects in West Africa, North Africa, Middle East, Central America and the UK, Naston was seeking strategically-placed premises for air, road and rail access. Milton Keynes offered an ideal location for Naston to open its third UK office, and the company has taken 4,910 sq ft (456 sq m) of space, the whole of the ground floor at Birch House. Naston also has an office in Scotland.
Bought in 2004 by Hilstone Corporation, Woodlands Business Park currently provides a total of 100,000 sq ft (9,290 sq m) of office premises in six buildings named after British tree species. It offers the ideal environment for growing businesses - a choice of sizes of offices, free private car parking, a quality business environment and dedicated on-site security and building management.
The first phase of new office building has also just been completed, totalling around 39,000 sq ft (3,623 sq m). One of these buildings extends to 19,000 sq ft (1,765 sq m) - 50 per cent of the new development - and has already been sold to White Clarke Group, leaving three new detached buildings available for sale or to let: Larch House, extending to 12,031 sq ft (1,118 sq m), and Maple and Elm Houses, each providing 3,678 sq ft (342 sq m), all of which can be occupied as a whole or subdivided into floors from 1,136 sq ft (106 sq m). All the buildings have a lift, raised floors and comfort cooling, and the external walls are attractively designed with combinations of glazed curtain walling, masonry, rendering and masonry cladding.
