Nabarro Nathanson Acts For Slough Estates On

Exclusive MoD Negotiations

Law firm Nabarro Nathanson is working for Slough Estates on its exclusive negotiations with the Ministry of Defence to buy The Business Park, Farnborough. Slough won the right to negotiate with the MoD following a bidding process that involved seven final bidders and 500 original enquirers.

The 180 acre site, capable of supporting 1.6 million sq ft of business space is next to Farnborough Aerodrome and is regarded as the largest available commercial site in the M3 corridor. Slough aims to create at Farnborough the pre-eminent business park in the area and is expecting to invest more than £250 million on the development of the park. The scheme will sit alongside Slough's portfolio of established prime business parks, most notably the Slough Trading Estate and Winnersh Triangle in Reading.

The Nabarro Nathanson team is led by senior property partner David Wright and a team of 14 other partners and assistants. He says: "We have been working closely with Slough throughout the bidding process and now, with negotiations underway, the level of work has stepped-up. This is one of the few remaining sites in the whole of the South East of England that can support a high quality business park development and it requires a depth of expertise and experience to be able to handle the legal aspects of the transaction."
