Description	Dispute Resolution experience embraces mediation, arbitration and acting as Independent Expert for nearly 15 years. Approach is based on problem solving and facilitation with an ability to see beyond the contractual sticking points. Anthony Salata is also joint senior partner of Jorden Salata. He has been based in the West End throughout his career. He is a chartered surveyor and arbitrator and CEDR accredited mediator and a registered fixed charge receiver. He has been a principal for over 25 years and has 33 years experience in the fields of valuation, letting, rent review, investment and development appraisal. He was the former Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Dispute Resolution Practice Panel and is Chairman of the RICS Mediation Task Force. In his work for the RICS he has been actively involved in training and setting up training schemes for arbitrators and expert witnesses. He has also been a member of the Training Faculty of CEDR (the Centre for Dispute Resolution) for nearly 10 years. As a Law of Property Act Receiver he has also wide experience of insolvency issues and he has advised a number of major banks and financial institutions. He has experience of project co-ordination, development, investment and valuation and writes and lectures on Dispute Resolution matters. He was the author of "Offices Today & Tomorrow", a development manual published by the College of Estate Management and was a contributor to "Building Design Utilisation", published by Spon. As a contributor to the Television Education Network, he presented the videos and papers covering ADR and mediation in connection with valuation. He has presented CPD tapes for the Arbitration Act 1996 and the Civil Evidence Act. He has given two of the prestigious Bar/Law Society/RICS Blundell Memorial Lectures covering at different times both ADR in commercial disputes and the role of the Expert witness". As a contributor to the Television Education Network, he has presented the videos and papers covering ADR. Currently he is writing the Mediation and Arbitration sections of the new on-line e-book “Dispute Resolution & Avoidance” by RICS Books Ltd. Arbitration experience has been mainly in connection with rent review and town planning, generally involving disputes that produce capital sums in the order of £20m He has been involved in mediation since the early days of CEDR and is possibly one of the most experienced non-lawyer mediators. General Dispute resolution experience includes both bilateral and many multi-party disputes involving insurance companies. Topics have included Town Planning, employment issues, intestacy, rent reviews, professional negligence cases, construction, joint venture partnerships, valuation disputes, boundary disputes, fee disputes, and service charge disputes, compulsory purchase and compensation, property management and housing disputes. Disputed sums have included figures up to, in the order of £150m. He is at the forefront of new dispute resolution techniques and was recently an ENE panel member in what was believed to be the first compensation dispute to be referred to Early Neutral Evaluation.
