Abstract:
The last few weeks of August, a traditionally quiet time, has seen some substantial changes in property market dynamics. As one surveyor put it, “It is like six months of market correction has taken place in the last 6 weeks.” There is some evidence that financial ‘turmoil’ is beginning to weigh heavily on property investment market – debt equity is leaving, institutions are shopping for bargains, general sentiment is developing so rapidly it is hard to read.
